The fabric is the thing here.

Most printed dog coats are printed on thin nylon that crackles like a shopping bag. This one is a high-grade membrane with a woven texture. It looks like cloth and feels like cloth under your hand, and it still keeps the rain out.

Then you open it and it's yellow inside. Bright yellow mesh for autumn, bright yellow fleece for winter. Nobody sees the lining but you and your dog, which is exactly why we didn't make it grey.

What it does

  • Textured membrane with a floral print: waterproof, windproof and breathable
  • Waterproof membrane zip, sealed along its length
  • Raised collar, and it stays raised in every size, not just the big ones
  • Bright yellow lining: light mesh for autumn, warm fleece for winter. You choose on this page.
  • Full body, all four legs, closed belly
  • Elasticated cuffs and an opening for a collar or harness
  • Potty opening, cut for boys, girls or unisex
  • Reinforced seams

One honest note: the seams are stitched, not taped. In a long downpour a little moisture can find its way through the stitching.

Twenty-nine sizes, six body shapes

A dachshund, a whippet and a french bulldog are not three sizes of the same dog. They are three different shapes. That is why a coat sized S, M, L fits almost nobody properly.

  • A standard proportions: chihuahua, westie, jack russell, maltese, cavalier
  • B broad-chested: pug, bulldog, french bulldog
  • C large breeds: labrador, golden retriever, pointer
  • D long back, short legs: dachshund, corgi
  • E sighthounds: italian greyhound, whippet, greyhound, saluki, borzoi
  • F spaniels: cocker, springer, setter

Sizing

Chest girth decides the size. Back length only confirms it. Measure the back to the base of the tail, not the tip. That is where most people go wrong and order a size too big.

A code ending in -1 (A28-1, C50-1) is the same length with a narrower chest, for dogs built lean rather than stocky.

The lining doesn't change the size. Both versions are cut on the same pattern, so take your usual one.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle. No bleach, no tumble dryer, don't iron the membrane.

Made and shipped

Sewn in our own workshop in Lviv, Ukraine, one to two days per coat. Delivery to the UK, Europe, the US and Canada usually takes 7 to 12 days.
