Two colours, and neither of them is an accident.

The whole model is built on one pairing. Pink with orange, or blue with orange. And the orange isn't trim added at the end to liven things up. It's the collar facing, the belt, the details, and the fleece lining, all of it.

So the warm version is orange on the inside too. You'll be the only one who ever sees that, which is rather the point.

What it does

• Membrane fabric: waterproof, windproof and breathable
• Belt cut from orange membrane rather than webbing, so it stays soft against the coat
• Long collar, and it's the long one in every size
• Velcro down both sides
• Adjustable elastic loops for the back legs, so the tail end stays where you put it
• Drawcord with a cord lock at the neck
• Opening for the leash
• Reflective piping along the edge
• Light mesh lining for autumn, or warm orange fleece for winter. You choose on this page.

Sleeveless, so it goes on in seconds. No zip, no legs to thread, no negotiation with a dog who thinks the walk has already started.

One honest note: the seams are stitched, not taped. In a long downpour a little moisture can find its way through the stitching.

Sighthounds get a different pattern

The E sizes are cut longer at the back and curved to follow the arch of a sighthound's spine. They sit where they should without help, so they have no leg loops at all. That isn't a saving, it's the point of the pattern.

Twenty-four sizes, five body shapes

• A standard proportions: chihuahua, westie, jack russell, maltese, cavalier
• B broad-chested: pug, bulldog, french bulldog
• C large breeds: labrador, golden retriever, pointer
• D long back, short legs: dachshund, corgi
• E sighthounds: italian greyhound, whippet, greyhound, saluki, borzoi

Sizing

Chest girth decides the size. Back length only confirms it. Measure the back to the base of the tail, not the tip. That is where most people go wrong and order a size too big.

A code ending in -1 (C50-1, C60-1) is the same length with a narrower chest, for dogs built lean rather than stocky.

The lining doesn't change the size. Both versions are cut on the same pattern, so take your usual one.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle. No bleach, no tumble dryer, don't iron the membrane.

Sewn in our own workshop in Lviv, Ukraine, one to two days per piece. Delivery to the UK, Europe, the US and Canada usually takes 7 to 12 days.
